Joint Comm. on Roads and Bridges. Act in addition to an act to incorporate the proprietors of the Newburyport Bridge, 1841
Senate No. 45 On March 3, 1841, the Joint Committee on Roads and Bridges reported: An Act in addition to an act to incorporate the proprietors of
the Newburyport Bridge, 1841. The Eastern Rail-road Company built the railroad bridge, but the above proprietors could collect the toll, subject to
several conditions. One of those was to have large numbers on the bridge piers so boats could tell the distance from the water to the underside of the
bridge. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of Congress).
Title:   The Joint Committee on Roads and Bridges, to whom was committed the petition of the proprietors of the Newburyport Bridge, praying for an additional act, respectfully report the accompanying bill.
