1715-10-29, Laws to reinforce morals
October 29, 1715 Broadside which issued laws which involved the morals of the Connecticut citizens. These laws included a failure to have bibles,
attend public worship regularly, and contempt of both civil and ecclesiastical authorities. Constables and other law authorities were instructed to
enforce these laws. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the New York Historical Society Library (c.1) and the Massachusetts
Historical Society Library (c.2)).
Title:   By the governour, a proclamation : Whereas at the General Court holden at New Haven, the thirteenth day of this present month ... it was agreed and resolved by the following act, that the several laws, formerly made for the suppressing and punishing divers immoralities and irreligious practices, should be thereby re-inforced ... Given under my hand in New-London, the 29th. day of October, Anno Domini 1715 ...
