Joint Select Comm. on Captal Punishment. Report, 1852
|
|
Report of the Joint Select Committee, following the Governor's message as it related to capital punishment, and presented to the Connecticut General Assembly during the May session, 1852. This was a renewal of the governor's request for abolishing the death penalty; after enumerating various reasons for its recommendation, the committee attached an act that imposed a natural life sentence rather than the death penalty. See LLMC # 20175, 20196, and 20212-13 for related documents. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the Connecticut State Library).
