1734, Murray's opinion relating to the courts of justice
|
|
Pamphlet entitled "Mr. Murray's Opinion relating to the Courts of Justice in the Colony of New-York;" delivered to the General Assembly, upon its request, on June 12, 1734. Murray's points were that the Court of Justice was not established by the General Assembly, as required by the laws of England, particularly with respect to the Equity Court, with a detrimental effect on the citizens. The speaker suggested that the General Assembly should therefore enact law regarding the courts. (Source of digitized copy: New York Historical Society Library).
