1710-06, Act for levying 4,000 pounds ….
June 1710 Act issued by the New York lieutenant governor, council and General Assembly establishing a levy against all estates (real and personal),
and freeholders in order to collect 4,000 pounds. The act detailed the amount, the penalties for failing to pay the money, and indicated the salaries
for the troops who were to paid out of the money that was raised. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Association of the
Bar of the City of New York Library).
