1848, Resolutions of Florida [Va. doc.]
|
|
1848 Florida resolutions in support of the southern states in objecting to prohibiting slavery in the District of Columbia or any territory south of the Missouri Compromise. Of note, the Florida legislature, which sent said resolutions to all governors of slave states, also suggested that a Southern Convention might be needed in defense of their rights.
