Articles of a Treaty between the United States and the United Nations of Chippewa, Ottawa, and Potawatamie Indians of the waters of the Illinois,
Milwaukee, and Manitoouck Rivers, July 29, 1829, 7 Stat. 320-322. ( Articles of a Treaty between the United States and the United Nations of Chippewa,
Ottawa, and Potawatamie Indians of the waters of the Illinois, Milwaukee, and Manitoouck Rivers in which the Indians cede the land described in
Article I of the treaty. The Indians are to receive $16,000 annually forever in specie and $12,000 worth of goods at the time of signing. They retained the
right to hunt on the ceded land. The treaty was concluded at Prairie du Chien in the Michigan Territory on July 29, 1829. The Schedule of those
entitled to receive payments from the United States on behalf of the Chippewa, Ottawa, and Pottawatamie Indians under this treaty is found at 7 Stat. 604.)
