Articles of a Treaty between the United States and the Chippewa Tribe of Indians, August 5, 1826, 7 Stat. 290-295. ( Articles of a Treaty between the
United States and the Chippewa Tribe in which they agree to the Treaty of Prairie des Chiens, 7 Stat. 272 (LLMC 69881). Article 4 sets aside land on
the islands and shore of the St. Mary's River for half-breeds. The Chippewas are to receive, at the pleasure of Congress, an annuity of $2,000 in
money or goods and an additional $1,000 for the education of Indian youth. The treaty was concluded at the Font [sic] du Lac of Lake Superior, in the
Territory of Michigan, on August 5, 1826.)
