1818-10-03, Articles of a Treaty Made and Concluded at St. Mary's
Articles of a Treaty between the United States and the Delaware Nation of Indians, October 3, 1818, 7 Stat. 188-189. ( Articles of a Treaty between
the United States and the Delaware Nation in which the Delawares cede all claims to land in the state of Indiana. In consideration the United States
agrees to provide the Delawares with land on the west side of the Mississippi River. The Indians are also to receive a perpetual annuity of $4,000 in
silver in addition to the annuities the United States promised to pay in all former treaties. A Supplement to this Treaty appears at 7 Stat. 327-328. (
The treaty was concluded at St. Mary's in the state of Ohio on October 3, 1818.)
