Articles of a Treaty between the United States and the Potawatamie Nation, October 2, 1818, 7 Stat. 185-186. ( Treaty between the United States and
the Potawatamie Nation of Indians. The Potawatamies cede land to the United States along the Wabash River to a point on the Vermilion River described
in Article 1. The U.S. agrees to pay the Potawatamies a perpetual annual annuity of $2,500 dollars in silver. The U.S. also promises to pay the
Kickapoos for any land claims they may have below Pine Creek. The treaty was concluded on October 2, 1818 at St. Mary's, Ohio.)
