Treaty of Cession between the United States of America and the Chactaw Nation, October 24, 1816, 7 Stat. 152-153. ( Treaty of Cession in which the
Chactaw Indians cede to the United States the lands described in Article 1. In consideration the United States agreed to pay the Chactaw Indians $6,000
for twenty years, and $10,000 in merchandise when the treaty is signed. The treaty was concluded at the Chactaw Trading House in the Mississippi
Territory on October 24, 1816.)
Title:   A Treaty of cession between the United States of America and the Chactaw Nation of Indians, James Madison, president of the United States / by general John Coffee, John Rhea, and John MʹKee, esquires, commissioners on the part of the United States, duly authorized for that purpose, on the one part, and the mingoes, leaders, captains, and warriors, of the Chactaw nation, in general council assembled, in behalf of themselves and the whole nation, on the other part.
