Articles of a Convention between the United States and the Cherokee Nation, March 22, 1816, 7 Stat. 139-140. ( A Convention between the United States
and the Cherokee Nation intended to clarify the boundary lines established by the Convention between the U.S. and the Cherokee Nation concluded in
Washington, D.C. on January 7, 1806, 7 Stat. 101 (LLMC 69790) and the Treaty of Fort Jackson, 7 Stat. 120 (LLMC 69800). The U.S. agrees to indemnify
members of the Cherokee Nation in the amount of $25,500 for any losses sustained as a result of their troops marching through Indian lands. The
Convention was concluded in Washington, D.C. on March 22, 1816.)
