1803-09-13, Treaty between the United States of America and the Kaskaskia Tribe of Indians
Treaty between the United States and the Kaskaskia Tribe of Indians, September 9, 1803, 7 Stat. 78-79. ( The Kaskaskia tribe ceded all of their lands
in the Illinois country with the exception of 350 acres near the town of Kaskaskia to the United States. They attributed the need to cede their land
to the dwindling size of their tribe. The U.S. agreed to take the tribe under its protection. The treaty was concluded September 13, 1803 at Vincennes
in the Indiana Territory.)
