Thesis from the Judge Advocate General's School entitled "Military Jurisdiction over Non-Military Type Offenses." Capt. Peter H. Cook, United
States Army, submitted the thesis in April 1962. This paper reviewed the gradual Congressional expansion of the jurisdiction of courts martial to include
substantive crimes of a purely civil nature, its impact upon the public concern with the fairness of courts-martial proceedings, and evaluation of
the desirability of retaining such jurisdiction.
