Claim: 27p., Place of publication and publisher not identified, n.d. (This British Memorial involves the Eastern Extension, Australasia and China
Telegraph Company. This claim and the Cuba Submarine Telegraph Company, Limited claim were identical. They both involve compensation when U.S. naval forces
cut submarine cables during the Spanish American War (1898). The British Government contends that by cutting the Eastern Extension Telegraph
Company’s cables the U.S. took possession and control of them, but failed to return them in their original condition once the hostilities ceased. Various
Senate and House Documents are included in the Annex.)
