Pecuniary Claims Arbitration: The Eastern Extension Telegraph Company, Limited: Memorial of His Britannic Majesty’s Government in Support of the Claim: 27p., Place of publication and publisher not identified, n.d. (This British Memorial involves the Eastern Extension, Australasia and China Telegraph Company. This claim and the Cuba Submarine Telegraph Company, Limited claim were identical. They both involve compensation when U.S. naval forces cut submarine cables during the Spanish American War (1898). The British Government contends that by cutting the Eastern Extension Telegraph Company’s cables the U.S. took possession and control of them, but failed to return them in their original condition once the hostilities ceased. Various Senate and House Documents are included in the Annex.)
