Description and Holding Information
1925, U.S./G.B., The R.T. Roy (U.S. Memorial)
American and British Claims Arbitration: The R.T. Roy, Memorial of the United States in Support of the Claim: 52p., Place of publication and
publisher not identified, 1913. (The R.T. Roy, an American fishing vessel , was seized in Lake Huron by a Canadian inspector of Fisheries on June 25, 1908.
The issue addressed by both parties is whether at the time of seizure the Roy was on the American or Canadian side of the international boundary
through Lake Huron. The U.S. memorial argues that both the ship and its fishing nets were in U.S. waters and claims losses for the ship’s owner for the
seizure and detention. The U.S. Reply is LLMC 11041 and the Award is LLMC 11042.)
