Laws of the Sudan Revised and Consolidated up to 1st January, 1940. Prepared by The Legal Secretary, Sudan Government under the Revised Edition of
the Laws Ordinances 1939. Published in five volumes by McCorquodale & Co. Ltd. (Sudan 1941). Vol. I: Titles I-VII; Vol. II: Titles IX-X; Vol. III: Title
XI; and Vol. IV: Title XX (Criminal Law, with Index to Penal Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure). Each volume includes a table of contents for
that volume. Vol. I includes an explanatory Preface by J. P. Gorman, Legal Secretary, Sudan Government. (At time of writeup, the set included vols.
I-IV. The Preface states, “The preparation of the fifth volume, the Index Volume, has necessarily had to await the editing of the first four, but it has
not been thought desirable to postpone issue of these four until the Index Volume is ready …”)
