Description and Holding Information
1872, Darby, Handy book of post-union statutes
Handy Book of Post-Union Statutes, originally Relating to or Affecting Ireland. Chronologically arranged, from 1801 to 1870, both inclusive, with an
Index to the same: and Acts Extended to Ireland by the Imperial Parliament, and now in force, so far as they immediately relate to or affect Ireland.
Compiled by J. L. Darby. Published by McGlashan & Gill (Dublin 1872). 4 + 397 p. (The preface states: “The object of the work is to afford a handy and
ready reference to Acts of Parliament. It is in Two Parts—a {chronological] Table of Statutes originally relating to or affecting Ireland; and an
Index to Acts in force: the former is confined to Acts of the Imperial Parliament exclusively Irish, and Acts applying to Ireland when passed, but does
not include Statutes subsequently extended to Ireland—they will be found under their several heads in the Second Part. The latter is an alphabetical
Index of the subjects, with a reference to the Acts that bear on them respectively.”) Also included is a First Supplement containing information about
Irish legislation from 1871.
