The Law Reports, Indian Appeals; Being cases in the Privy Council on appeal from the East Indies: Vol. 1-77, 1873-1950, London, pr. for the
Incorporated Council of Law Reporting for England and Wales by William Clowes and Sons, 1874-1950, all published; Plus an index volume by A.M. Talbot, covering
1872-1923, and published by the Council in 1924. (The Judicial Committee Act, 1833 made appeals to the Privy Council in England an integral part of
the Indian colonial court system. Privy Council cases for the years 1836–72 were reported in numerous nominative reporters, some of which appear on
this site, and all of which have been reprinted in vols. 12 to 20 of English Reports, Full Reprint, also offered elsewhere on this site. The present
series was intended to continue coverage after Moore’s Privy Council Appeals Cases, 1836-72. Later, in 1880, the Incorporated Council of Law Reporting
sponsored a supplement to Moore’s, also offered on this site, to cover the short coverage gap for cases decided in 1872-73. Privy Council appeals after
1913 were also carried in the All India Reporter.)
