Finances d’Haïti; emprunt nouveau - même banque: by Frédéric Marcelin, (2)+6-281p, Paris, Imprimerie Kugelmann, 1911. (Marceline was a financial
reporter who tracked the history of French loans to Haiti. This work details the writhing of the Haitian Government and the National Bank of Haiti, in
financial difficulties as usual, on the eve of the American occupation. The author’s subtitle alludes to his 1896 work describing the machinations in the
1892-94 Haiti Legislature on the eve of negotiating a earlier French loan of fifty million francs. See “Haiti, Marcelin, Les Chambres Legislatives
d’Haiti, 1892-1894, 1896” elsewhere on this site. Unfortunately, there is no index or table of contents. A copious selection of relevant documents,
including the texts of new loan contracts, is provided in the appendices, pp. 139-281. The entire text is in French.)
