Report of the British Guiana Constitutional Conference : held in London in March, 1960: 16 p., London, Her Majesty's Stationery Office, 1960. ( British Command Paper 998 presented to Parliament by the Secretary of State for the Colonies by command of Her Majesty, April 1960. The Conference was convened to consider what measures constitutional advances should take place in British Guiana. The Secretary of State argued for the independence of Guyana and outlined the powers necessary for the legislative and executive branches. The conference also recommended that control of the police become the responsibility of a British Guiana Minister. The changes contained in the report were to take effect in 1961.
