Civil Orders and Circulars (slip edition): n.a., 4 annual vols. in 7 books, 1899-1902, (Havana, HQ, U.S. Army, Dept. of Cuba, c.1899-1902). (These
were the original orders as issued in separate slip format. The orders for 1899 were subsequently bound in one book, while the more voluminous orders
for 1900-1902 were bound in two books per year. Each order appears in English followed by a Spanish translation. Since pagination is specific to each
order, the orders are organized in the print books in consecutive order number, a practice that LLMC had continued online. A very helpful index to names
mentioned in the orders, and also a general subject index, are provided at the end of each book. Despite the general title, the only “circulars”
provided are Circulars # 1-6, which are tucked in following Order # 264 at the end of the first of the two books for 1900. As of 9/9/11, LLMC’s run was
lacking the second book for 1900, covering the slip orders # 265-526. The loan of a copy of that book is earnestly solicited for scanning purposes. In
the meantime, readers should note that a reprint of those missing orders, as well as indexes covering all of the year 1900, are provided on this site
in the reprint edition of this title.)
