Contents include the transmittal letter from the Comptroller General of the U.S. to Sen. Paul J. Fannin, describing the survey conducted at Sen. Fannin’s request of 20 Federal departments and agencies, including information on “(1) total agency obligations for each program which benefited American Indians for fiscal years 1969 through 1974, regardless of whether the program was designed exclusively for Indians, (2) the portion of such obligations made for the benefit of Indians, and (3) obligations for program which were designed exclusively for Indians and which had Indian set-aside funds. The remainder of this document (pp. 4-30) consists of appendices with tabular data collected by the General Accounting Office and notes thereto.
