Articles of Agreement and Convention between the United States and the Muskogee or Creek Nation of Indians, February 14, 1833, 7 Stat. 417-420. (
Articles of Agreement and Convention between the United States and the Muskogee or Creek Nation of Indians which attempts to correct the conflicts
between the land guarantees made to the Cherokees and the Muscogee or Creek Indians. Article II establishes the boundaries of the land guaranteed to the
Muskogee or Creeks, and Article III indicates the United States will grant a patent in fee simple to the Creek Nation for the land. This grant is in
lieu of the former grant made in the Treaty of Washington, 7 Stat. 286 ( LLMC 69886). The agreement and convention was concluded at Fort Gibson in the
Oklahoma Territory on February 14, 1833.)
Title:   Articles of agreement and convention made and concluded at Fort Gibson / between Monfort Stokes, Henry L. Ellsworth and John F. Schermerhorn, commissioners on the part of the United States, and the undersigned chiefs and head-men of the Muskogee or Creek nation of Indians, this 14th day of February , A.D. 1833.
