medicine and other dances, the peyote cult, and the clan war-bundle feasts; addenda and an Index. (The preface states: “The information included in this
volume was obtained during the years 1908-1913 while employed by the Bureau of American Ethnology and on private expeditions.” At p. iv, a note
states: “The Winnebago Tribe originally was published as part of the Thirty-Seventh Annual Report of the Bureau of American Ethnology, Smithsonian
Institution, 1923.”)
