1837-10-21, Sac and Fox of Missouri-U.S.
Articles of a Treaty between the United States and the Sacs and Foxes of Missouri, October 21, 1837, 7 Stat. 543-544. ( Articles of a Treaty between
the United States and the Sacs and Foxes of Missouri in which the Indians cede the land between the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers described in
Article 2 of the Treaty of Prairie des Chiens, 7 Stat. 271 (LLMC 69881). In consideration the United States agreed to pay the Indians $160,000. $2,500 of
this was to be used for merchandise. The balance was to be invested in order to guaranty the Indians an annual income of not less than 5% from the
investment. The treaty was concluded in the City of Washington on October 21, 1837.)
